AI visibility

What is an AI visibility report — and why does it matter?

An AI visibility report is a clear summary of whether your business shows up when a customer asks an AI for a service — ChatGPT, Perplexity or Gemini. It tells you whether you get mentioned, which competitors are surfaced instead of you, and the concrete things worth fixing so you make it into the answers.

In other words, it answers a question a traditional search-ranking report no longer covers on its own: "Does the customer find me where they actually ask these days?"

What does the report actually include?

I don't measure vague "scores." I ask the AI exactly what your customer would ask, and record what happens. The report pulls this together in a readable form:

If you want the background, I wrote separately about how a business gets found on ChatGPT and Perplexity in the first place.

Why isn't a normal Google ranking enough?

Search optimisation tracks where your site ranks in the results. But more and more customers no longer scroll ten blue links — they read the ready-made answer the AI gives and trust it. That answer only has room for one or two businesses.

So you can rank well on Google and still be left out of the AI's recommendation entirely — because they measure different things. An AI visibility report looks precisely at that new place where the choice is made today.

A good Google ranking says you can be found. AI visibility says whether you're recommended.

How often should you track visibility?

A one-off report is a good starting point: it tells you where you stand right now. But the situation keeps moving. Competitors update their pages, AI models change, and your own content shifts. A single check ages at the same pace as everything else online.

That's why I built the Monthly Growth Partner service ($2,210/mo): I track your visibility every month, manage your Google profile, keep your site up to date, and report on which way things are heading. All by email, no meetings. That way visibility isn't a one-time trick but something that stays in good shape.

Who is the report for?

It helps a local service business most — one whose customers look for exactly the kind of service you offer: a renovator, a care provider, a hairdresser, a consultant, a restaurant. The more likely your customer is to ask an AI for a recommendation, the more it matters whether you're in that answer.

If you're not sure whether you're in that group, the easiest way to find out is to request the report — it tells you your situation without guesswork.

In short

An AI visibility report answers one increasingly important question: does the customer find you when they ask an AI for a service. It shows your current standing, your competitors and the concrete things to fix — and if you like, I handle the whole chain for you every month.

Let's start with where things stand now. Request a visibility check and you'll get a clear picture of your situation.
